Baba Kamo is an annual initiative organized by the Associació de Professionals de la Il·lustració Valenciana -APIV and the Fundació pel Llibre i la Lectura -FULL to promote illustrated books in all their forms. A meeting place where the work of publishers, illustrators and storytellers can be shared, interdisciplinary creation can be encouraged and critical thinking and aesthetic sensitivity can be promoted.
A heterogeneous programme
Baba Kamo is an open and transversal event as it is both an illustrated book fair and a festival with a program of complementary activities, such as professional meetings, an international exhibition, children’s workshops, training sessions…

Publishing houses, bookshops and self-publishers
Open call to participate as an exhibitor in the book fair «BABA KAMO. Illustrated Book Festival and Fair». It will take place at the Gothic cloister of the Centre del Carme Cultura Contemporània in Valencia.

Call to participate as an author or group in the exhibition of editorial illustration of “BABA KAMO. Festival and fair illustrated book”. That will take place at the Centre del Carme Cultura Contemporània de Valencia, during December 2022. An expert jury will select the editorial illustration works (published or unpublished) that will take part of this exhibition and the person or group to create the graphic image of the next edition.
